About the Author

Clare De Graaf is a Christian businessman, Bible teacher, elder, and community leader. He lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife, Susan, and five children. They attend Calvary Church.

Clare was born and raised in a Christian home, but from an early age had one goal in life – to be successful. By the time he was thirty years old, he owned a manufacturing company with 175 employees and thought he had it made, but God had other plans for his life. In 1979, Clare found out that he had lymphoma cancer which caused him to re-examine his life and priorities, shortly thereafter, surrendering his life to Jesus Christ.

In 1984, Clare sold his business to Leggett and Platt, a Fortune 500 company, and for more than 20 years has been mentoring men, teaching the Bible, and leading ministries as a volunteer. Clare is featured in Bob Buford’s Half Time Video Series Study.
